Salmon, Idaho, is where the Lemhi and Salmon Rivers converge. This small community was built on ranching, rodeo and the western way of life and the people of Lemhi County are proud to continue that heritage. For many years, however, it was hard to get top cowboys to come to the rodeo, since it’s so far off the beaten path; this is the most geographically isolated community in the continental U.S., surrounded by millions of acres of public land and wilderness.
